Intelligence, Resilience, & Discipline
Intelligence, Resilience, and Discipline—as I reflect on my journey this first quarter—these three traits I embody defined it. These traits stood as pivotal in my journey for the first quarter, turning it into a more remarkable and bearable quarter. I realized that I learned about things I had never discovered and recognized before, all thanks to these three qualities.
One of my most significant discoveries has been understanding that intelligence extends beyond academic knowledge. It's about learning lessons and applying these to real-life situations. Also, it's about navigating areas that needs improvement. Discovering these made me stand diligent enough regarding things within my control, opening new doors of opportunities that were simply waiting me. Moreover, embracing resilience has allowed me to perceive challenges as opportunities for growth, changing how I approach difficulties. Finally, I recognized that discipline is crucial for focus and concentration. Additionally, it taught me about effectively managing my time and making better priorities which made me become more organized and focused in my studies, leadership responsibilities, and personal life.
Throughout the first quarter, I encountered minimal challenges, but not to mention the daunting workload particularly from classwork and organizational roles. However, rather than allowing these challenges to become a hindrance along the way, I adopted a positive mindset.
In addressing such challenges particularly ineffectively managing my time, I set goals that are incorporated to the word SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Bound) which helped me to stay motivated and directed. Also, I utilized a planner and to-do lists to efficiently prioritize tasks that needs to be accomplished on time. These simple practices helped me in effective time management while steering me away from distractions.
Overall, I made a significant learning that when intelligence, resilience, and discipline will be kept in mind, it will lead me to further improve my academic performance as well as my personal growth. When I balance my school work along with my personal life, I am learning to allocate my time and energy, fostering both productivity and well-being.
Looking ahead, I will continue to walk, consistently embodying these three traits—intelligence, resilience, and discipline. I believe that keeping these traits in mind empowered me in the first quarter and will continue to empower me in the next quarters, however this time, with greater intelligence, resilience, and discipline.
...I am grateful for the lessons learned and excited about what awaits me.
