From Sidelines to Stardom

It was an ordinary day at school, the centennial gym and field grounds were full of energy. From the echo of cheers, sound of sneakers, dance shoes hitting the floor, to the competitive spirit radiating among the students. As I wonder along the school grounds to watch different sports, I couldn't help but feel curiosity and excitement. Sports had always been my least favorite activity. However, participation in our school's annual intramurals turned out to be my path to stardom.

As a student who prefers books over balls, my comfort zone was entirely outside the realm of sports. However, watching different sports made me understood that it could offer more than just physical benefits. I learned that sports is not just about playing and winning. It fosters teamwork, camaraderie, communication, and resilience.

Being physically present in this year's Intramurals made me realize that sometimes, the best discoveries come when we venture beyond our comfort zones. Just as I began to feel comfortable on the sidelines, an unexpected adrenaline arose from me—the joy of watching players play their grounds ignited a spark within me. Seeing the energy and dedication of the players inspired me to step off watching from the sidelines and pursue my own potential in sports with confidence—though, as a hobby.

As the saying goes, "your path to stardom starts when you dare to step off the sidelines."
